Fiery Sunset Mountain landscape: Reclaimed wood mountain art

This is a new addition to my shop; it is a mountain landscape with a fiery red sunset.
This art piece consists of reclaimed barn wood and some very weathered wood.
The entire art piece is made of 1/2 strips. You can see that I used some lichen encrusted wood for the greenery part of the landscape. I then used some blue grey weathered wood for the water running through the landscape. Next I used dark brown wood for the mountains with a white wash on dark barn wood for the snow-capped mountains. Finally, this was followed by the fiery red sky that was made from old barn siding that has been so weathered that only a small amount of red iron oxide paint remained on the wood.
This piece is very special because I did not stain or paint any of the landscape pieces except for the snow on the peak of the mountains. I wanted to use natural colors that Mother Nature created because I feel it adds a lot more creativity to the piece.

Each art piece is hand signed and dated in the back.
