Chicago City Skyline: Metal & reclaimed wood wall art

This piece is made to order and has a 4-6 week lead time before shipping. I send photos for your approval before I ship it out.

If you want a custom skyline made up, just give me a shout and let me know the city you would like. I will send you a picture of what the skyline portion will look like.

For this listing I offer raw steel with clear matte finish which looks blueish black in color. Keep in mind that the steel can contain small scratches and imperfections due to the nature of using raw steel. Other options if you are worried about small scratches and imperfections are to paint it in a black matte finish or having it distressed like some of the other steel work you see in my shop. Just send me a message if you like the look of the steel on one of the other pieces in my shop.

This art piece is a combination of reclaimed barnwood and a skyline cut from 1/16" thick raw steel.
The frame is made of Poplar hardwood stained in a Black Ebony finish. The barnwood strips measure ½” wide and vary in depth to give the art piece some depth. All the various brown and grey colored strips of wood are completely natural in color; there is no stain or paint that has been applied to the inner pieces. I then applied two coats of low VOC water based sealer in a matte finish to preserve the art piece.

Each art piece is hand signed and dated in the back and I also incorporate a custom made laser engraved wood name tag on the side of the piece.
